Stop Dipping Your Fingers Into My Kool-Aid

Did I ever mention I am a big fan of Kool-Aid? One day in college, on a very strange and somewhat embarrassing occasion, I ate a whole family size container with my bare hands.
I don't know why I just told you that story.

On another note, today I am being forced to do shit I don't want to do, all in the spirit of getting it out of the way so I can do "My Shit." Ever done that? Yeah, so today is that day for me.
I am trying to figure something out to break the shit up. So, I have devised a plan that will make life more tolerable....
I am going to play the "What's Happening" theme song on repeat in my head. When things are mellow, it will play softly and gently. When shit gets real, I will speed it up and make it louder. This sometimes keeps me from going totally bonkers because it helps me meter my level of crazy.
Hey! Now would be a good time for me to remind you of the theme song.

This is my television equivalent to comfort food. God, I loved Shirley. She was my original girl crush. She was FIERCE. Although I am pretty sure she would not be down for slumber parties and nail painting. This fantasy would involve some ass kicking and name taking.

Another good all day theme song is the Greatest American Hero.

Do you feel the inspiration? I sure do.
So if you ever feel a little crazy and think you might snap, add a soundtrack to it. It might keep you from going Whitney Houston.
