I love cake. I get cake on my birthday. Therefore my birthday makes me happy.

Also fun:

Forcing Alex to watch the movie Contact for the 2,487th time. This movie is about space, people! I mean, doesn't that get you all Chris Farleyed up and make you want to smash through your coffee tables?

Getting to say "you are being mean on my birthday!" I have used this phrase as a monster guilt trip on my husband all day. It's quite effective and will get you champagne and alone time. Booyikah!

Getting kissed in the eye, while the eye is open by two small drooly children.

Having a birthday party where I get to showcase my karaoke skills to a lucky audience of my nearest and dearest. Also on showcase: sex appeal (brought to you by the Diana Ross wig and sequined dress).

And finally, I love laughing at the new score of "You're Old" jokes my brother, Snivets, has cooked up.

So...here is a song that I think of EVERY single birthday since the album dropped in 1992.

Yeah, I'm old.
